Privacy policy
What we do with your data, in plain terms.
LEER cares about protecting your data. This policy explains what data we process, why, for how long, and what your rights are. It complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data controller: Timothé Lebarbey — contact@maisonleer.com
a. Brands who contact us
When a brand fills in the “Join us” form, we collect: the brand name, the contact's name, the email address, the phone number, the country, the website and the Instagram account. The date received is added automatically.
Why
To review the application and, where appropriate, get in touch with the brand. Each piece of information has a reason: the email and phone to get back to you, the website and Instagram to discover your pieces, the country to situate your brand.
Legal basis
Pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): by writing to us, you ask to enter into a relationship with us.
Retention period
3 years from our last exchange. After this period without contact, the application is deleted.
b. Site visitors
We create no account and ask for no information to browse. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tools.
For your convenience, the site stores some of your choices directly in your browser (local storage): followed brands, saved content, light/dark theme, language, feed layout. This information stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is not linked to any identity. You can erase it at any time (your browser settings, or the “Clear my local data” button in your Profile for followed brands and saved items).
Like any website, our host keeps technical connection logs (including the IP address) for security and proper operation. The site's images are served by our provider Sanity, which technically receives the IP address needed to display them.
c. Who can access this data
To operate, the site relies on providers that may process data on our behalf:
- Vercel Inc. (United States) — site hosting and form processing;
- Sanity AS (Norway) — storage of applications and content, image delivery;
- Resend (United States) — sending the email that notifies us of a new application;
- Apple (United States) — the mailbox that receives these notifications.
As some of these providers are located in the United States, your data may be transferred outside the European Union, within a framework provided for by applicable regulations.
d. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to and port your data. To exercise them, write to contact@maisonleer.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr), the French data protection authority.
e. Security
Access to applications is protected and restricted to the site's publisher. We implement reasonable measures to preserve the confidentiality and security of your data.
f. Changes
This policy may change; the date of last update appears below.

Terms of use
The rules for using the site.
a. Purpose
LEER (maisonleer.com) is an editorial media dedicated to discovering independent fashion. These terms govern the use of the site.
b. A media, not a shop
LEER sells no product and carries out no transaction. The site features brands and editorial content; any purchase takes place on each brand's own website, to which LEER redirects. LEER is not a party to the relationship between you and these brands and accepts no responsibility for the products, prices, orders or services offered on these third-party sites.
c. Content and ownership
The texts, the visual identity and the layout of the site are protected and belong to the publisher. The names, visuals and trademarks featured belong to their respective owners and are used for editorial purposes. Any reproduction without authorisation is prohibited.
d. External links
The site contains links to third-party sites (brands' websites, social networks). LEER has no control over these sites and is not responsible for their content or their practices.
e. Brand applications
Any brand may submit an application through the dedicated form. By applying, you warrant that you hold the rights to the information submitted and agree to be contacted. An application guarantees no publication: LEER retains editorial freedom to choose the brands and content it features.
f. Availability and liability
LEER strives to keep the site available but cannot guarantee it. The site is provided “as is”. LEER cannot be held liable for damage resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the site.
g. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the competent French courts.
